 Vlezly mi do snů další ošklivé noční můry. Roztahovaly se v mé hlavě, drásaly mé nervy. Probouzel jsem se strachem, zpocený a nevěděl co je realita a co ještě sen. Až jednou, když jsem narazil na nové album německých IMPLORE, ulevilo se mi. Deska "Subjugate" je totiž doslova zabijákem nočních můr.

 Neučesaní, crustoví, punkoví, blackoví a death metaloví. Takoví jsou IMPLORE i na své novince. Hudba určená do malého klubu, ke spoustě piv a pořádnému večírku. Muzika, kterou budete s chutí poslouchat, když půjdete ráno špinavým městem směrem do továrny na smrt.


"Subjugate" je pořádně ukřičeným, žhavým albem, které připomíná kyselinu chrstnutou přímo do vašeho obličeje. Nečekejte žádné uhlazené melodie, ale spíš pořádnou nálož prašivých kostí, vysypaných před vás na hromadu. Musíte se jimi prohrabat, rozdělit je na ty, které se rozpadají a které ještě splní svůj účel. Metalová kladiva drtí bílé lebky takovým způsobem, že jsem zcela stržen do víru špinavého umírání. IMPLORE jsou možná občas až moc monotónní, vokalistovi by prospěla větší variabilita jeho hlasu, ale koho to vlastně zajímá? Vždyť v důsledku jde stejně hlavě o to, zničit vše živé v okruhu několika kilometrů. A to Němci s přehledem umí. Solidní špinavá hudební záležitost!

Again, I have some ugly nightmares. They stretched in my head and rustled my nerves. I woke up with fear, sweating and I did not know what reality was and what a dream was. And then once, when I hear an album by German IMPLORE I was relieved. The album “Subjugate” is like a killer of nightmares.



They are crusty, punk, black and death metal – IMPLORE and their new album. This music is suitable for smaller clubs where a lot of beer and a great party is. Music which you want to hear in the morning when you walk to the factory for death through the dirty city. 

“Subjugate” is very screamy and hot album which is like an acid which someone threw into your face. There are any smooth melodies, rather a big portion of ashy bones which were spilled in front of you in a pile. You have to go through them and separate the ones which are decaying from the good ones. Metal hammers are crushing white skulls and it that brings me to a whirl of dirty dying. IMPLORE are sometimes too monotonous and the vocalist would benefit from having a wider range of voice, but who cares. The most important thing is to destroy the world and everything alive within a few miles. And those Germans know how to do that. Solid dirty music!

 Občas se stane, že potkám svůj vlastní stín. Podám mu ruku, prohodím pár temných slov a dál hledím do nekonečného zrcadla svých činů. Stává se tak většinou za branou u hřbitova, když odcházím z pravidelné návštěvy. Co jsem zde hledal? A kdo vlastně jsem? Odpovědí je mi jen tichý šepot dávno mrtvých těl.

 Mívám rád podobné chvíle rozjímání, obdivuji schopnost hudby navodit černou temnou atmosféru. Usazen u oblíbeného náhrobku, hned vedle staré márnice, poslouchám novinku slovenských NECROHERESY. Death thrashové kapely s blackovým odérem, která přesně pochopila zlo panující v záhrobí. Pojďte si udělat výlet do jedné staré kobky, kde se ctí samotné kořeny extrémního metalu. Troufám si tvrdit, že tento okultní obřad se vám bude líbit jako mě.


"Asylum" vás nejdříve zklidní naléhavým intrem, abyste pak rovnýma nohama skočili do maniakálního víru plného deathu a thrashe. Vše je zahráno hezky postaru, s takovým tím poctivým feelingem. Zpočátku sice album působí poměrně nepropustně, možná i lehce stereotypně, ale doporučuji vydržet. Po dalším poslechu mám najednou pocit, že cítím na prsou obrovskou tíhu. Možná za to může špinavá produkce, nekrofilní vokál nebo dunivé bicí, ale já opravdu podávám ruku svému vlastnímu stínu. Tahle deska není určena pro každého, ocení ji především častí účastníci okultních seancí, nočních zakázaných pohřbů i exhumace shnilých těl. Zdánlivý chaos se časem uklidní a na povrch jako nějaké naštvané zombie vyleze samotná zhudebněná smrt. Hledal jsem alespoň něco, co bych nahrávce vyčetl, ale vzhledem k tomu, že jsme ukováni s kapelou ze stejného železa, nic mě vlastně ani nenapadá. Mimochodem, texty i obal jsou jedním slovem exkluzivní. Peklo zkrátka existuje, "Asylum" je toho jasným důkazem. Album, které zhmotnilo tmu! Velmi dobře!

Sometimes I happen to meet my own shadow. I give him a hand, throw some dark words, and look into the endless mirror of my actions. It usually happens behind the gate at the cemetery when I leave a regular visit. What am I looking for here? And who am I? The answer is only a silent whisper of long-dead bodies.

I like similar moments of contemplation, admiring the ability of music to induce black dark atmosphere. Set up at the favorite tombstone, right next to the old morgue, I listen to the novelty of Slovak NECROHERESY. Death thrash bands with a black order, who grasped the evil that dominates the hades. Come and take a trip to one old dungeon, where the roots of extreme metal are worshiped. I dare say that you will like this occult ceremony like me.

"Asylum" will calm you down first with an urgent intro, after you will jump right into a maniacal whirlwind full of death and thrash. Everything is played fairly old, with such an honest feeling. Although initialy of the album is relatively impervious, perhaps even slightly stereotyped, but I recommend it to stand. After another listening I suddenly feel like I have a huge weight on my breast. It may be a dirty production, a necrophilous vocal or a droning drums, but I really give my hand to my own shadow. This album is not for everyone, is especially for frequent participants of occult sessions, night banned funerals and exhumation of rotten bodies. The chaos will calm down over time and the humorous death itself will come out like some angry zombies. I was looking at something that I would criticize, but because we are being knit with a band of the same iron, I do not found anything. By the way, the lyrics and the cover are exclusive. Hell exists, "Asylum" is clear proof. The album that materialized the darkness! Very good!

 Ve starých knihách bylo již dávno popsáno, tak má znít pravý nefalšovaný death thrash metal. Srbští maniaci INFEST určitě četli stejné spisy jako já. Jejich letošní album "Addicted To Flesh" se totiž opravdu podařilo. A to tvrdím z pozice člověka, kterému jejich předchozí desky zase tolik nevoněly.

 Tento rok se ale pánům povedlo namíchat opravdu nechutný poctivý koktejl klasických melodií. INFEST sice znějí pořád starodávně, ale o to víc uvěřitelně a špinavě. Jednotlivé skladby se mi zaryly do hlavy až nebývalou silou. I přes občasné sklouznutí k monotónnosti se jedná o počin, který musí rozhýbat i nemrtvé.


Pro nás, starší a pokročilé posluchače je "Addicted To Flesh" velmi čitelnou a přehlednou zprávou z onoho světa. Odkazy na MALEVOLENT CREATION, DARK ANGEL, DEMOLITION HAMMER, ale i třeba takové VADER, či první alba SEPULTURY jsou čitelné snad ve všech skladbách. Nijak mi to nevadí, připadám si totiž jako na návštěvě v dávno opuštěné kobce. Předčítáme spolu s kapelou ze starých spisů a já si novinku neskutečně užívám. Kapela přenesla na nahrávku svoji pověstnou, živočišnou energii, kterou jsou při živých vystoupeních pověstní. Já INFEST zkrátka jejich válku z nebem věřím. Novinka je také pro mě jejich prvním albem, které mě opravdu rozsekalo. Cítíte také tu síru, která z jednotlivých melodií doslova odkapává? Slyšíte to pekelné hřmění? Vítejte v pekle! Dnes v něm budou vystupovat INFEST. Nebe zase hoří! Skvělé old school death thrashové album, které vám vypálí cejch do vašich duší!

In old books has been written who the real death thrash metal should sound like. Serbian maniacs INFEST has probably been reading those books. Their new album “Addicted to Flesh” is really good. And I did not like their previous albums so much.

This year those gentlemen mixed a disgusting and real cocktail of classic melodies. INFEST sound ancient still but they are also believable and dirty. Each song got stuck in my head with unexpected power. They sometimes go to the monotonousness but this album is an album which will make death people dance. 

For us, older and advanced listeners, the album “Addicted To Flesh” is very readable and clear message from the world beyond. There are readable links to other great bands in each song, bands like MALEVOLENT, CREATION, DARK ANGEL, DEMOLITION HAMMER or even VADER or the first albums by SEPUTLURA. I do not mind that at all and I feel like visiting long time ago abandoned dungeon. I and the band are reading together the old books and I really enjoy their new album. The band brought us an album which has their well-known animal energy which is really famous during their live performances. I just believe INFEST and their war with the sky. This album is also the first album for me which really killed me. Do you also smell the sulphur which drops from their melodies? Do you hear the hell thunder? Welcome to the hell! Today, INFEST have their concert here. The sky is burning again! Great old school death thrash album which will burn you a mark into your souls!

 Už ve škole mi říkávali, že nemám opisovat od spolužáků. Kopie nikdy nebude taková jako originál a u hudby to platí několikanásobně. První alba CANNABIS CORPSE byla vtipná, zpestřila mi vždy čekání na novinku jejich vzorů, ale letos se podle mě album příliš nevydařilo. Jakoby se vytratil nadhled, vtip. Novinka působí poměrně křečovitě, nezáživně a mdle. Jak říkám, originál je jen jeden a i když se CANNABIS CORPSE snaží, jsou jen pouhým revivalem. Sice dobře zahraným, se solidním zvukem, ale bez vyšší přidané hodnoty.



Nějak moc nevím, co dalšího k novince "Left Hand Pass" napsat. Jo vlastně, pořád je v ní spousta marihuany, dlouhých jointů, hodně nudy a postupů jak vystřižených z prvních alb CANNIBAL CORPSE. Někomu to bude stačit, jiný se ošklíbne, já se k této desce již nebudu vracet. Raději si počkám, až vydají album jejich vzory. Pokud se nemůžete dočkat, možná vás "Left Hand Pass" zaujme, ale bude to už beze mě. Nemám víc, co bych dodal. Solidně odvedený death metal, který vůbec neřeže.

When I was at school they had been telling me to not copy my classmates´ answers during tests. A copy will never be as good as the original and this rule works in music too. The first albums by CANNABIS CORPSE were funny at it always made my day while waiting for a new album by their idols. But this year´s album is not great for me. I feel like the unworldliness and humour is gone. The new album seems quite sardonic, boring and “meh”. Well, as I sad – there is only one original and although CANNABIS CORPSE try hard, they are still just a revival. This revival is nicely played with a solid sound but there is nothing more. 


I just do not know what else to say about the new album “Left Hand Pass”. Well, maybe just that there is still a lot of marijuana, long joints, a lot of boredom and procedures which seem the same as in the first albums by CANNIBAL CORPSE. For some of you it is enough, some will be disappointed and me? I will not return to this album. I rather wait to listen to new albums by their idols. If you cannot wait to these albums, maybe “Left Hand Pass” will be good for you, but I would not be there. I do not have anything else to say. Solid death metal which does not cut.

 Mám v hlavě lahev, rozbitou na tisíc střepů. Řežou mi mozek a zadírají se do podvědomí. Včerejší pitka se rozhodně vydařila, ale palice mě bolí jako by nebyla ani moje. Přepínám 120 programů na televizi a všude jen samá tupota a hloupost. Zkouším i internet, ale tam zase všichni nadávají a ukazují svá těla - nikoho to nezajímá. Mám všeho dost, tenhle svět je zkaženej jako týden stará smradlavá konzerva. Musím zase ven, do nejbližšího baru, narvat si to hlavy nějakej alkohol a novou desku M.O.D.

 Billy "Mosh" Milano je pořád stejný démon a i když letos on a jeho věrní nepřinášejí vůbec nic nového, jejich album "Busted, Broke & American" stojí rozhodně za pozornost. Takhle po opici, brzy ráno, když musíte vstávat do práce na mě tahle výbušná směs thrashe, hard core, crossoveru pořád funguje. Vypnu televizi, internet, vypnu mozek i celej svět. Pustím si novou desku a je mi fajn. A o to jde především. 



M.O.D. v sobě mají pořád tu správnou dávku rebelství, punkového přístupu, chytlavých popěvků. Jsou jako popcorn, podávaný s obří coca colou, přesto stále špinaví. Hodí se do zaplivaných klubů, kdy budete spolu s Billem řvát refrény plné humoru, sarkasmu, kritiky současné politické scény, různých parodií. Já se bavím, jsem spokojený, nemusím nad ničím přemýšlet. Stačí mi nějaké to pivko, lahev vychlazeného alkoholu a parta podobně naladěných kamarádů. Chvíli před zavíračkou všichni tančíme v obrovském mosh - pitu a holky jsou nejkrásnější na světě. Hele kámo, nalej mi další a pusť nám novou desku "Busted, Broke & American" znova. V každém z nás je kus punkáče a dnešní večer bude pěkně dlouhý. Pojďte zapařit s náma! Album až po okraj narvané energií!

There is a bottle in my head, broken into thousands pieces. They cut my brain and cling to the subconscious. Yesterday´s party was a success that is for sure. But I have a headache and I do not even feel like my head is mine. I am switching 120 programs on TV and there is only stupidity and nothing else. I try the internet but everybody are angry and they show their bodies – nobody cares. I have got enough of this, this world is spoiled like a week old stinky can. I have to go out, to the nearest bar to put some alcohol in my head and the new album by M.O.D.


Billy “Mosh” Milano is still the same demon and although he and his friends do not bring anything new this year, their album “Busted, Broke & American” should not be underestimated. During hangover, early in the morning when you have to wake up to go to work, that is when this mixture of thrash, hard core and crossover still works for me. I turn off the TV, the internet, I turn off my brain and the whole world. And I listen to the new album and I feel great. And that is what this is about.

M.O.D. still have the great portion of rebellion, punk attitude and catchy vocals. They are like a popcorn when they give it to you in the cinema with a big cup of cola and they are still dirty. They are the best fit for small dirty clubs where you will scream the choruses with Bill full of humour, sarcasm, criticising the current political situation and various parodies. I enjoy this and am happy because I do not have to think about anything. I just need a beer, bottle of a nicely chilled alcohol and a group of my friends. Right before they close the bar we dance in the huge mosh-pit and the girls are the most beautiful ones. Hey dude, give me another shot and play the new album “Busted, Broke & American” again. There is a piece of a punk fan inside all of us and this night will be very long. Let´s party with us! The album is filled up with energy!
